For those institutions receiving government commodity tomato products, All Purpose Marinara Sauce Mix is the perfect vehicle for utilizing the government commodity.
Directions:
Pour contents of this container (21 oz.) into a large pot, add 2
gallons 5 pints (10½ quarts) of water, 10½ pounds
(1½ #10 cans or 5½ #2½ cans) tomato
paste,
1½ cups (12 oz.) of salad oil and stir until
smooth. Then
bring to a boil, stirring occasionally to avoid sticking.
Simmer
for 5 to 10 minutes and serve.
For
Smaller Servings:
Use ¾ oz. mix (2 Tablespoons), 12 oz. (1½ cups)
water, 6
oz. of tomato paste and 1 Tablespoon of salad oil and follow above
directions.
To
Make Spaghetti Sauce with Meat:
Brown two pounds of ground beef until crumbly. Then stir into
sauce while it is simmering.

salt, corn starch, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano and other
spices, parsley.
