A slightly sweeter
and more lightly spiced version of our Marinara Style
Spaghetti Sauce Mix, Bernard brand All
Purpose Marinara Sauce Mix is perfect for serving with
meatballs, meatloaf, rice, noodles, string beans, broiled or baked
fish, and may casserole dishes.
For those
institutions receiving government commodity tomato products, All
Purpose Marinara Sauce Mix is the perfect vehicle for
utilizing the government commodity.
Directions:
Pour contents of this container (21 oz.) into a large pot, add 2
gallons 5 pints (10½ quarts) of water, 10½ pounds
(1½ #10 cans or 5½ #2½ cans) tomato
paste,
1½ cups (12 oz.) of salad oil and stir until
smooth. Then
bring to a boil, stirring occasionally to avoid sticking.
Simmer
for 5 to 10 minutes and serve.
For
Smaller Servings:
Use ¾ oz. mix (2 Tablespoons), 12 oz. (1½ cups)
water, 6
oz. of tomato paste and 1 Tablespoon of salad oil and follow above
directions.
To
Make Spaghetti Sauce with Meat:
Brown two pounds of ground beef until crumbly. Then stir into
sauce while it is simmering.
Contains sugar,
salt, corn starch, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano and other
spices, parsley.
